Sending money internationally through Palla is a simple, guided process. This section walks you through the steps, what it costs, and how limits and promotions work.
How do I send a transfer?
- Tap on the payment link you received from your recipient. This link is unique to them and comes from their bank.
- Enter the amount you would like to send.
- Enter some basic information about yourself, such as your name and email address, so we can create your transfer record.
- Enter your home address.
- Enter your payment method (the debit or credit card you will use to send the funds).
- Review the details and confirm to send your transfer.
ℹ️ The whole process is designed to take just a few minutes. If anything looks unfamiliar along the way — like a request to verify your identity — that's a normal part of keeping transfers safe, not a sign that something went wrong.
What are the accepted payment methods?
Please make sure that the card you are trying to use is a debit or credit card issued by Visa or Mastercard. The card must have been issued in the Continental United States, and — importantly — it must be under your own name. A card belonging to someone else, even a family member, will not work for your transfer.
How much do I pay when transferring?
The fee for a transfer isn't a single fixed amount — it varies depending on factors like the state you're sending from and the destination of the transfer. That said, we work to keep our rates as low as possible.
You won't have to guess what you'll be charged: once you enter the amount you wish to transfer, the applicable fee will be displayed immediately on the screen, before you confirm anything. This way, you always know the total cost before you commit to the transfer.
How do I apply a promotion?
You don't need to enter any code or take any extra steps. Promotions are applied automatically to eligible transfers. As you complete your transfer, you'll see a banner on the screen confirming that the promotion has been applied, so you'll always know when a discount is active.
What are the transfer limits, and how do they work?
If you try to send money and the app won't let you, it's likely that you've reached your current transfer limit. Every user has a limit based on their verification level, and that limit resets over time — but not on a calendar-month basis.
Instead, the limit works on a rolling 30-day cycle tied to each individual transfer. That means the amount you sent becomes available again exactly 30 days after you sent it — not on the first of the next month. For example, if you send $500 on March 5th, that specific $500 becomes available again on April 5th, regardless of what day of the month it currently is.
If your limit doesn't fit your needs and you'd like to request an increase, you don't need to wait for the 30 days to pass — simply contact our Support team directly, and they will review your account to see what options are available to you.
